Someone asked to draw refs for the Matokis so that they could make a plush, so I thought I’d post these up for other people too as a drawing ref too. I’m by no means the official artist or professional cartoonist, so things could be off, but this is what I got by looking at the cgs and artwork.

The Matokis are pretty much made of of circles and ovals so their design isn’t anything elaborate. A thing to keep in mind while drawing cartoon-y stuff though is to avoid parallel lines. Even their ears, though straight in the cgs, shouldn’t probably be drawn as parallel lines ‘cause it creates stiffness. Though these are pretty much the proportions of their body, obviously when drawing them in the comics, things can shrink and compress as they do a motion.
